🔒 Number Masking

Number masking — your callers talk to customers without ever seeing the number

Your lead database is the business. Number masking lets agents call, talk and record outcomes while the phone number stays hidden from them, so nobody walks out with your list.

Every calling business has the same fear. An agent leaves, and a few weeks later your leads are being called by a competitor. Or a recovery executive sells a bucket. Or a broker quietly builds a private list from your portal enquiries. You paid for those leads, and there is usually no way to prove where the leak came from.

Number masking removes the opportunity. The agent opens the lead, presses dial and has a normal conversation. The number itself is never shown on screen, cannot be copied, and does not appear in anything they can export. Only the roles you choose — usually an owner or admin — can see the full number.

What this solves

Agents leave with your database

If the number is never displayed, it cannot be copied into a phone, a notebook or a WhatsApp message. The agent can work the lead but cannot take it.

Leads sold to competitors

Masking removes the thing that has resale value. Call history, notes and outcomes stay available to the team; the contact number does not.

Expensive portal and ad leads leaking

Leads you paid for stay inside the system. The agent works them without ever holding the raw data.

Recovery buckets walking out

Collections lists are sensitive and valuable. Agents can call every account in a bucket without being able to read a single number.

No way to prove where a leak started

Full numbers are visible only to the roles you allow, so the set of people who could have taken data is small and known.

Customers called from personal phones

When the number is masked, agents have to use the dialer. That means every call is routed, recorded and logged instead of happening off the books.

What's included

Hidden on screen

The lead record shows the name and history. The phone number is masked, so there is nothing to read off the screen.

Dial without seeing

The agent presses call and the dialer connects them. The conversation is completely normal from both sides.

Role-based visibility

Decide which roles can see full numbers — usually owner and admin only. Everyone else works masked.

Masked in exports and reports

Numbers stay hidden in anything an agent can download, so exports cannot be used as a back door.

Works with the predictive dialer

Masking applies to bulk campaigns as well as single calls, so large calling lists stay protected.

Works with Click2Call

One-click dialing from any lead record, with the number masked throughout.

Inbound calls matched, not revealed

An incoming call is matched to the lead record and the agent sees who it is, without the number being exposed.

Call recording unchanged

Every masked call is still recorded against the lead with agent, time and outcome.

How you get started

  1. Demo with masking on

We show a caller working a full lead list without a single number visible on screen.

  2. Decide who sees what

You choose which roles can view full numbers and which work masked. Most firms allow owner and admin only.

  3. Setup

Masking, roles, dialer campaigns and telephony configured by our team.

  4. Go live

Your team calls as normal, with support on phone and WhatsApp from Indore.

Questions about number masking

Can agents still make calls if the number is hidden?

Yes. The agent presses dial on the lead record and JugnuCRM connects the call. Nothing about the conversation changes — only the display of the number does.

Who can see the full number?

Whichever roles you allow. Most businesses give full visibility to the owner and one admin, and keep every caller masked.

Are numbers hidden in exports too?

Yes. If a role is masked on screen, it stays masked in reports and downloads, otherwise an export would simply be a way around the control.

Does masking work with the predictive dialer?

Yes. It applies to bulk dialer campaigns as well as single Click2Call calls, so a caller working a list of two thousand accounts never sees a number.

What about inbound calls?

An incoming call is matched against your database and the agent sees the lead name and history, so they know who they are speaking to without the number being shown.

Will customers see a different number when we call them?

Customers see the outbound caller ID configured for your account, not an agent's personal number. This is set up during onboarding.

Does this guarantee nobody can steal our data?

No control is absolute — somebody determined enough can write numbers down from an inbound caller ID or photograph a screen. What masking does is remove the easy routes: copying, exporting and bulk collection. For most businesses that is the difference between a leak being trivial and a leak being hard.
